I’ve been working with System Platform 2025 R2 for quite a while now (with all the latest service packs and patches), but we’ve had a recurring problem: Our license manager works, but when you set up the HMI computer, it claims it can’t connect.
The resolution ended up being incredibly simple. Make sure the license servers have access to the same user as the nodes you’re setting up, and make sure that user is part of the AELicMgr group. You should be able to set that up through local user manager. If you’re on a workgroup, that just means having a local user with the same username and password.
It’s a tiny fix, but it worked immediately, removing a tiny annoyance.
